I Am Austin

Bounding out of Connah's Quay in North Wales is highly talented Dance/Rock duo I Am Austin! 

Otherwise known as David Mitchell and Adam Hughes, 'I Am Austin' blend an infectious mix of alternative Drum & Bass and electro wizardry to create a mind bending, ear piercing, sonic musical soundscape.

Having released their highly acclaimed first EP 'Sounds Like Leather' in 2008, 'I am Austin' are set to return to the studio in Sept 09 to record their debut album.

With a ferocious fanbase and over 30,000 hits on Myspace, 'I am Austin' have played gigs in Manchester, Leeds, Cardiff and Birmingham and supported some great bands including James Yuill, Cage The Elephant, Das Wanderlust, Casio Kids and Dananananaykroyd.  They have also played european festivals in Hamburg and Cologne.

'I Am Austin' are mentioned in the latest version of 'The Festival Guide' as one of the top ten bands to look out for in 2010 and we at Slavetosound salute them!
