What Is Life For?
What Is Life For? have been together since March 2007. They are a four piece alternative rock band from the south coast of England.

They take diverse influences from bands such as Incubus, System of a Down, Green Day, Foo Fighters and many more.

What Is Life For? have been described as "Incubus jamming with the Chillis whilst the Foo Fighters and Billy Talent have noisy sex in the corner" DJ Will Chump

The band have shared the stage with many bands across the country and 2009 looks to be an even busier year with a mini tour planned for the summer.

Initially managed by themselves, they now have Mark Tutton on board, who by his own admission is an 'ageing punk rocker with a passion for music'. Mark has taken over the day to day management and promotional duties leaving the band free to write and record their material.

Their debut EP 'Ask Yourself...' is an energetic set of five songs which showcases the bands talent and is a toe-tapping assault on the senses. The best track (in our opinion, of course) is 'One Step Forward (2 Steps Back)' which is reminiscent of some early Hundred Reasons.

The EP was recorded at engineer Ross Gill's, studio in Lee-on-the-Solent, Hampshire.

The band are currently working on new tracks for their album due out late summer 2009.

Live, they are unbelievably tight whilst providing a energetic and memorable performance.
