Confirmed for Glastonbury Festival 2010 - Winner of RockStar Competition!

The first unsigned act has been confirmed for next year's Glastonbury Festival which runs for five days from Wednesday 23rd June until Sunday 27th June 2010 across 1,000 acres of beautiful countryside at Worthy Farm, Somerset.
The winner of the finals of the RockStar Unsigned competition, backed by the Glastonbury Festival organiser Michael Eavis, and musician Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios, has been confirmed as The John E Vistic Experience from Bristol. The band were the last of the finalists in the competition to take the stage. They were very well recieved byt he 4,000 srtong crowd and soon after their performance they were crowned the competition winners!

The other finalists; strangefruit and Daybreakers were also commended and SlavetoSound would not be suprised to see them both also appear at next summers festivals.
As winners of the competition, in addition to their chance to play at Glastonbury, they also get to spend valuable recording time at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios.
The annual RockStar competition is open to everyone, young old, groups and soloists, with the only stipulation being that any entrant must be unsigned. The search for the 2010 winner is expected to start sometime in the New Year.
