Darlings Of The Day

Exploding out of the speakers like a dexerdrine fuelled sonic jailbreak are Darlings of the Day!
The band came about in 2005 when Londoner James Goddard (guitar) joined forces with LA natives Sterling Mire (vocals) Donovan Whitworth (bass) and Jake DeSouza (drums). They first made their mark with debut EP 'Get Burned' in 2006 which was filled with addictive riffs, infectious melodies and was soaked in dirty LA sunshine. Not surprisingly the EP gained them international support in the form of US and European airplay, a placement on MTV and glowing reviews from all who heard it!
Having spent 2008 writing and recording, followed by a series of well received acoustic shows in Europe and the US, Darlings of the Day hit the ground running in 2009 thrilling audiences in LA at venues such as The Viper Room, House of Blues and The Knitting Factory. Darlings of the Day received airplay on Indie 103.1 in LA as well as support from indie icon Rodney Bingenheimer on KROQ radio.
Based between London and LA, 2010 looks set to be the year for Darling of the Day as they hit the road with their material following recent recordings with legendary producer Eric Creedy.
Through Be Savaged management, Slavetosound were told that this UK/US unsigned band were coming to the UK on tour and that the masses deserved to hear about it! The band are playing at The Grand Hall at The Cobden on 16th October, Manchesters' Deaf Institute on 18th October, All FM Live session 1pm on 19th October, and finishing up at London's infamous Water Rats on 23rd October.
