Karima Francis

On a wet Sunday Manchester evening when you expect people to be tucked up at home, the crowds are descending on Trof, in the Northern Quarter.  The Venue is packed with young trendy fashionable peeps before artists have even begun to sign up.  It has a relaxed and inviting environment .  The stage area is upstairs and replaces some of the much needed seating space, making most of the listeners stand for the duration of the night...yet no one seemed to mind.

Drakes

Situated on West Street in the heart of Southports nightlife, Drakes is a relatively new nightclub with a bar/dance floor area downstairs and a versatile upstairs area catering for both DJ's and live bands.

Stuart Cheevers (owner) is no stranger to the Southport scene and believes he has indentified a gap in the local market. His aim with Drakes is to fill that gap with style and good music. The club is an exponent of the more radical side of popular music and showcases all genres of music.

The C.R.U.X 'Early Mourning' EP Cover
It is amazing that this band have only been together 12 months considering their musical rapport and the quality of their live performances. The C.R.U.X's debut EP ‘Early Mourning’ captures the essence of the ‘hard working Punk’ sound.

The title track 'Early Mourning' is very catchy and original with a well designed climax in the chorus. Special note needs to be given for Ali’s superb drumming on this track as well as Andy’s flawless Bass playing, which is even better when seen live making this track stand out with excellent musicianship from all four members.
